Discover Your Path to Financial Calm

I'm Dr Lindsey Appleyard
Founder of Noumenia, I bring over 20 years of experience in research focused on financial inclusion and wellbeing—areas I care deeply about. I’m also a certified coach, committed to supporting individuals to achieve positive change.
Women often find planning their finances an overwhelming and stressful experience.
My intention is to coach women in midlife facing big life changes so that they feel confident and calm with their finances and gain clarity about their next steps.
I've personally experienced the challenges in making the right financial decisions for me and my family. I've created Noumenia to support you to experience greater financial wellbeing by: clarifying your financial intentions, focusing on your future, not your past; and to put you in control of your money.
That’s where coaching comes in.
✨Coaching can help you find clarity and confidence, and feel financially calm!

Unsure About What Support You Need?
There are different types of support to help you with your money
Financial Coach
Financial Guidance
Regulated Financial Advice
I provide ongoing, behaviour-focused support with money habits, goals, confidence, and accountability. Coaching works well alongside regulated financial advice so you can make conscious choices about your money
Free, impartial information to help you understand your options and make their own decisions. In the UK, MoneyHelper provides this
Struggling with debt, arrears or bills? Independent, free debt advice is usually more appropriate. Stepchange debt charity is the UK's largest provider
Looking for personalised recommendations about investments, pensions, insurance, mortgages, etc? This is different from coaching and should be provided by an appropriately regulated adviser

About Financial Consultancy
I have over 20 years experience in academic qualitative research and impact around the lived experience of financial inclusion and wellbeing.
