Coaching for resilience after redundancy

It’s been a year that has flown by. Or is that just me?
There have been huge challenges this year but also ones that I have relished. Luckily I felt ready for them.
The major challenge of the year was navigating the end of my stable, full-time employment and going through redundancy. Some people see the risk of redundancy as a personal affront to their capabilities. Instead, I saw it as an opportunity to do something different and push myself outside of my comfort zone. Something that I could shape and make my own. For me, this felt exciting. It helped enormously that I had an outline of a plan.
However, first I needed to allow myself time to rest and recover over the summer. To spend time with my family. To give myself space to think without pressure so that I could consider my options and do what felt right for me, right now. I totally appreciate that I have been very fortunate, not to have to rush and find any job so that I could pay my bills.

Coaching for resilience is an effective way to prepare redundancy, change or an unexpected event. I am proud to have build my levels of resilience and savings over the last few years. I knew that if I needed a cushion to fall back on one day, I had one. While my finances have taken a hit whilst setting up my own business (and having to suddenly replace a washing machine), I feel good that I have the confidence and the tools to manage my day to day money and make decisions that align with my values and purpose thanks to coaching.
Through my experiences and conversations with so many amazing people over the last 12 months, I know that even one hour of coaching can be a transformative tool. Coaching is designed to help you overcome overwhelm and indecision. Coaching is not about giving you the answers, it’s about supporting you to find clarity and confidence amidst the noise of your busy life. This is why I want to help others with the same transformation through coaching.
So while my Spotify age is maybe around twenty years older than I actually am, I feel invigorated to start 2026.
