Making a big decision? Six questions to help you gain clarity
I have found that clients are often stuck around making big decisions, especially when they relate to big financial decisions- whether that's to move house, quit their job, or go travelling. Clients are often stuck about making a decision and taking action because they know that it involves risk. However, optimism bias can also play a role where people tend to frame decisions positively rather than consider all the options beforehand.

I thought I would share six questions to help you gain clarity, especially before you make a significant financial decision. You could also use these to ask your clients, customers, or yourself, to get unstuck and learn the best way for you to move forward. You could even explore the questions through journaling, brainstorming, talking to a friend, or me as a confidential coach- whatever works best for you.
Each question is designed to explore: the issue at a deeper level, what feels right or wrong, and to explore different options that may feel more aligned with what you are trying to achieve.
What is the issue I am trying to solve?
What are the reasons I am drawn to this decision?
What sacrifices or changes would I have to make?
If I made this decision, what is the worst that could happen, and how would I handle it? How would that feel?
How will I feel about this decision in the future, say in a month or a year?
What alternative options are there, and how do I feel about each of them?
If you found this framework useful, I would love to hear from you!
